Cookie policy
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. This website, run by Value Car Parts Distribution Ltd, uses only the cookies it needs to log you in and keep your basket and vehicle, plus one from Google when you open the map on the branches page. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
1.Cookies we set
| Name | Purpose | Lasts | Type |
| vcp-session | Keeps you logged in and remembers your trade account, your basket, and the vehicle you are currently looking up. It is encrypted and signed, and cannot be read by other sites. | Until you log out, or 30 days | Strictly necessary |
Strictly necessary cookies do not need your consent, which is why the site does not show a cookie banner. Without this cookie you cannot log in or order.
2.Cookies set by others
- Google Maps on the branches page shows an embedded map. When that map loads, Google may set its own cookies and collect usage data under Google’s privacy policy. No map is loaded on any other page.
- Google Fonts are not used; the typefaces on this site are served from our own server, so no font-related requests go to third parties.
3.What we do not use
- No advertising, retargeting or social media cookies.
- No third-party analytics. Page views are counted as totals on our own server and are not tied to you or your browser.
- No cross-site tracking.
4.Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the session cookie you will not be able to log in. Guidance for the common browsers is at aboutcookies.org.uk.
5.Changes
If we add any cookie that is not strictly necessary we will update this page and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before setting it. The date at the top shows when this policy last changed.
